I die
so silently
my heart had never known it
before today

And I
in tears that never drop
I do not cry
for me

Never look back
said the gods
didn’t They mean
always look forward?

Now, I have done just that
but the only thing I saw
was pain, loneliness and sorrow
and I don’t want to look anymore

I thought I could be brave
but I am not
